Note(s):

The title of this record means Songs performed by Yves Montand (in French). The songs are the same versions as those issued in France by the Odéon label.

At least eighteen different pressings, all with the same reference. Indeed, considering the large area of former USSR, several plants produced the same record using their own label and design (however, some were very similar); most of the time the sleeves were generic and thus used for several records. The location where the record was manufactured was given on the round label, as well as the code ‘ГОСТ 5289’, which indicated a pressing period. For these Yves Montand records the code is ‘ГОСТ 5289-56’, which gives a pressing date of between 1956 and early 1961.

The record with the red label and the brown sleeve, with yellow and blue flowers, could be from 1957 because a ‘57’ is indicated on the back of the sleeve and it seems to be a printing date (provided it is the original sleeve that belongs to this record).

A blue record folder named Songs by Yves Montand, containing four 78 RPM (10 inch) and one 33 RPM (10 inch), was also issued; no specific reference.
The 78 RPM with the song Надо Было (Il a fallu) is the mauve round label version. This track is also on the 33 RPM, turquoise round label version, whose code ‘ГОСТ 5289-56’ puts this folder between 1956 and early 1961.
