This programme, which was probably aired on 13 November 1953, was a live broadcast of part of a performance given at L’Échelle de Jacob – a cabaret where Pierre Arvay was the artistic director and pianist for many years.

Among the various singers and actors present was Jeanne Dorival, who performed the song Il a fallu (M. Vaucaire/P. Arvay). It was recorded in the same year by Yves Montand and pressed onto various discs, then again in 1965 by Jacques Douai, 33 RPM Studio SM n° SM 25 A-193.
