Pierre Arvay
Track B1 translated into English: Sonata while the original title is Sonate. Same thing for track B5, partially translated: Ronde pour Catharine instead of Ronde pour Catherine.
The sleeve mentions ‘The International studio orchestra’. It is a generic term referring to the different orchestras that Pierre Arvay conducted for recording his compositions.
Three different sleeves issued over the years, the first being the black and white one. Then come the generic ones used by Music De Wolfe for a while: the first was white-blue-red with the ‘trumpet’ logo and the other plain red.
Other possible variations over the course of the pressings: different round record labels (red or white-blue-red), various sleeve printing types (for example ‘glossy’ appearance or not), different sleeve printing companies, different contact details for the Music De Wolfe office in London, pressing of the records in England or Holland.
